Documents Crashing

Hello,
I have a mi4s with 7.3 stable and this is happening all the time.
When I try to export pictures from Dropbox to my device, always appear "unfortunately Documents stopped".
Can't get it to work. Does anyone knows how to fix it?

Got the same problem on my Mi4c. Disabling the Documents app allows you to select a different file picker, which should do as a workaround. This is a MIUI bug, though.

Go to installed apps in settings, scroll to Documents, tap disable button.

I did it. Now how can I set another app to do that?
I installed ES File Explorer but can't export files from Dropbox to my device because it says that I have to turn on documents.

i'm facing the same problem with stable build V8.0.1.0 LAJCNDG (Millet 4s), it is impossible to disable system app without root (not rooted yet) but it is SOLVED now,
i dont have root access but i have TWRP installed, so this is the steps
1. reboot to recovery
2. mount system
3. go to advaced > file manager > system > app
4. go to DocumentsUI > DocumentsUI.apk and move to sdcard (or where ever else, or you can deleted but i dont want to)
5. simply reboot to system
and now you can try to upload from DropBox or gDrive or anything else, prompt will shows up and allow you to choose another file picker
