Does this ROM phone to China?

Since this ROM is based on Chinese ROM, I am wondering if it collects data and sends it to China? And what about Austrian MIUI account, does using Xiaomi cloud on this ROM stores files on Chinese servers?

I googled for answer but couldn't find it. I had hoped someone here could clarify this a bit

This has absolutely nothing to do with whether this is a China or Global ROM. Both official ROM flavors collect analytics/statistics data.
Most tracking is being disabled by us, but some might still not be patched, it's hard to keep track of that as almost every Xiaomi app (Global or China) has some kind of analytics tracker.
Let's just say that if there's any analytics tracker, just let me know. Our ROMs have far less tracking than any official MIUI ROM.

What about storage tho? Does using Austrian(EU) account stores data on servers located in China(because of ROM) or does it store somewhere else?
