Evo AndroidAP name mod?

Has anyone found a mod to permanently change the name of the Evo's hotspot network? In other works, I would like to permanently rename the network to something other than AndroidAP.

Ummm... Settings -> System -> Tethering & Portable Hotspot

Turn on the hotspot. Now, go into Portable Wi-Fi hotspot Settings, then Configure Hotspot. In the dialog that pops up, type in the SSID you want and press Save.

Now, your SSID is permanently changed.

Why is this in the MIUI Mods section?

I posted it here because after I had tried the procedure you outlined, the change did not stick. I imagined I would need a "Mod" to effect the change I was after. I realize now it was my error.

I see. I kind of figured as much, but I'd never had a problem, so I didn't think you should.

Also, I don't do any work on the rom, but thanks anyway. The proper people to thank are MarkHUK, wowthatisrandom, and whoever ports it for your phone.
