New Fingerprint reader no longer functional Mi 9T Pro

I just updated to 9.12.5 today and the fingerprint sensor on my Mi 9T Pro no longer recognises any fingerprints.

I've tried removing the existing saved fingerprints and adding new ones, but it's the actual sensor not attempting to read my fingerprint:.

When attempting to add new prints I can touch the sensor area on the LCD and the fingerprint icon lights up, but no attemp is made to read my finger in the normal way

How can I revert back to a pre 9.12.5 build please?

Second reboot of the device, all is well again.
