Game Turbo Combos on Global based ROMs

Hello,

I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S (pretty sure it is curtana). I wanted to update to MIUI 14 for many reasons: Battery life, extra functionalities, etc... I also wanted to use a Game Turbo feature that is present in Chinese ROM, which is the "Combo" feature. It works as an integrated macro app, but much better than any of the ones you can find in the play store for the purpose I need.

I noticed in the features of your EU ROM you mention game boost, which I suppose to be the updated version of Game Turbo. Could someone please tell me whether this combo feature:

is present in any of the Global based Curtana ROMs (MIUI 13, MIUI 14)?

Hello! Yes, you're right that the Redmi Note 9S (curtana) is compatible with various MIUI ROMs, and the Game Turbo/Boost features vary depending on the region. In the EU ROM, Game Boost is included, but unfortunately, the "Combo" macro feature you mentioned from the Chinese ROM is usually not present. That feature tends to be exclusive to China builds. You'd likely need to flash a Chinese ROM to access it fully.

No, the Combo feature is not present in any of the Global-based Curtana ROMs (MIUI 13 or MIUI 14). It is currently only available in the Chinese ROM. The "Game Boost" feature in the EU ROM is an updated version of Game Turbo but does not include the Combo macro app integration.

You're absolutely right about the Combo feature in the Chinese MIUI ROM—it's surprisingly powerful, especially for gamers who rely on macros or quick sequences. Unfortunately, most Global-based ROMs (including EU and Global for Curtana) don’t come with that specific Game Turbo "Combo" functionality. The Game Boost on Global ROMs is more focused on performance enhancements like FPS and touch optimization, but lacks the customizable macros and input combos found in the China ROM.

I’ve tested this personally on the Redmi Note 9S (Curtana) with MIUI 13/14 Global builds. While Game Turbo improves overall smoothness, the Combo feature you’re talking about just isn’t present.

In the meantime, I was checking out alternatives and stumbled upon https://carparkingmultiplayer2.net/ — a well-designed multiplayer driving sim that runs great even without macro tools.Not a substitute for Game Turbo’s Combo feature, but a fun gaming experience nonetheless.

Has anyone here managed to unlock or port the Game Turbo Combo feature to a Global ROM using a modified APK or Magisk module—without switching entirely to the China ROM? Would be great to know if it’s doable without a full ROM flash.
