Google Wallet Contactless Stopped working

I've been using the stable ROM for a few months now, and currently on v13.0.13 on Chinese Mi 11 Ultra.

Last Sunday, I got the message that my phone does not meet security requirements (much like many others - as reported here: https://www.androidpolice.com/google-wallet-security-issue/)

Whilst from the article above, it seemed to be falsely producing the error, and I would presume that would be fixed, my handset is still doing this.

Is this the case for others too, or is it working again for others now?

Since my bank don't cooperate with Google Pay / Wallet, I can't check it. However, my Mi 11 Pro with the same ROM does not pass the test.

Strong identity isn't needed. I have the same and Wallet works just fine.

It started working again yesterday for me. Maybe Google fixed it, but I am surprised how long that took.
