HDR content

I bought Mi 11 8/256 from china. With the Chinese ROM installed, whenever I played any HDR video on YouTube or VLC, the color profile looked so reach. But now in xiaomi.eu ROM, I can't even tell the difference if this video is HDR or not. Is this a problem ? Do I need to have some settings on or off?

I've noticed this too, seems a bit muted when viewing HDR content I thought the screen get's really bright automatically. Try to Disable HW overlays in Developer settings which seems to up the brightness without manually doing it yourself.
