How Can I Transfer Ownership Of Xiaomi Phone(mi5)? It Is Locked To My Mi Account

I bought a Xiaomi Mi5 phone, it is associated to my Mi account. Is there any way to remove my account from the phone and transfer ownership? I obviously have the passowrd to my account but still I can't figure out how to remove my details so the phone is like a new phone...

I don't think a factory reset will help. Open the Mi account from the phone options and you have an option there to remove it from the phone
