HyperOS 3.1 Arrives: Schedule, New Features and iOS Compatibility
Xiaomi has completed testing of the latest version of HyperOS 3.1 and is ready to begin rolling it out to users. Initially, the update will be aimed at the newest and premium devices, including tablets, but other devices will not have to wait long. Within about a month, all compatible Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO devices are expected to receive the update.
HyperOS 3.1, like HyperOS 3, is built on Android 16. It does not introduce many drastic changes, but it is still a significant update. The focus is on better cross-platform integration, ensuring full compatibility with Apple AirPods and synchronization with iPhone (calls made on an iPhone can be received on Xiaomi mobile devices).
HyperIsland will receive new options and will finally arrive on tablets. A new Password application will provide end-to-end encryption and intelligent password autofill across all connected devices.
Xiaomi has also prepared several optimizations and improvements to the Camera application. The voicemail/recorder feature will gain access to the Super Xiao AI artificial intelligence, which will be able to generate summaries or answer questions about recorded audio.

Xiaomi has already released the stable version of HyperOS 3.1 for the first device in China, from the Xiaomi 17 series. According to the published roadmap, the update will soon expand to other devices.

However, the global rollout is expected to cover all devices that receive HyperOS 3.1 in China, provided that those models have already been released internationally.
