Keyboard backlight on EVO Shift

Does anyone know how to fix the keyboard backlight not working on the Evo shift? I tried downloading an update that I flashed with clockwork without wiping but it didn't work. I appreciate any help.

Yea I'm having this same issue...the touchscreen keyboard isn't as good as the physical keyboard obviously and miui is the best rom imho so a keyboard backlight would be veryy wonderful and appreciated...thx again miui developers =)
