Resolved Mi 10 Ultra - 5G - Not available on primary SIM on Weekly 21.1.20

Hello All,
I hope someone can help me. I have been using the Mi 10 Ultra for some time now, only with the stable rom and was working great.
I had posted before, that 5G was not available for me. When going in the Settings, it was never available in Preferred Network Type..

I have now moved to Weekly ROM 21.1.20 and to my surprise, on the main SIM (which is Orange and should get 5G) it is not selectable in Preferred Network Type:

But if I change the main DATA SIM, to the secondary SIM (which is in fact roaming), it gives me the option to select 5G.

Do me a favor, while recording a log using the same command, switch from SIM 1 to SIM 2, then back to SIM 1.

According to the log, it says that the carrier disabled 5G...

Are you seeing 5G signal on the status bar?

P.S. Cleaned this thread so it'll be more helpful to other users who might stumble upon this issue.

Unfortunately, in my house there's no 5G signal. I'll test tomorrow though.
Yes please, clean it so others might find it useful.
I'll revert tomorrow (hopefully with 5G)

I spoke too fast. Yes I get the 5g signal on status bar

Just wanted to mention that I had to re-apply the code after a reboot.
When rebooting, something happens that It loosses the 5G option, but once the code *#*#34834#*#* is inserted. Voilá. All works OK again.

There hast to be some kind of bug, but I dont reboot that often, so Im ok having the code on a note and inserting it if needed.

@Igor Eisberg : i have a similar issue on my mi 10 ultra with EE operator in London. I'm using only one SIM in the first slot.

I'm able to choose the 5g in the preferred network but the 5g signal never appears on my status bar (it used to, when using the chinese rom version)

Please find attached the logcat generated when switching mode from "preferer LTE" to "prefer 5g".

Is this line "is5GSaModeCarrierDisabled: true" relevant ?

I've tried the code provided in the previous comment but it didn't help

Hmm no, 5G SA isn't relevant outside of China, and the code ain't gonna help if you can already see the 5G network type option. I'll take a look...

Hi! Think that have the same problem I live in Australia. With China ROM 5G was working fine. Now I have EU ROM and not able to make 5G work. I can choose 5g network but not make it work.

Thanks for your help. Not sure what to do.
