I am in need of guidance. I purchased a Mi5 in China on my last trip. A college of mine helped me to set the phone up. they needed to get me a local Sim as it is difficult for a non resident. They set up a Mi account and now my phone is locked to that account ans SIM. I have my own Mi account but need to log into the original so I can wipe the phone. To add insult to injury the sim that was used in no longer active. I applied to unlock the bootloader and was approved but without being able to log into the phone on my own Mi account i'm stuck.
