MIUI Home vs MIUI ROM

I've got a Xiaomi Mi-One and have found that as time has gone on, performance has gotten worse (lag). I'm wondering if I'm better off running Cyanogenmod and possibly installing MIUI Home.

What features does the MIUI full ROM have that MIUI Home doesn't bring to a stock/other-custom ROM'd phone?

I've been running this about once per week, but will get the paid version and run it on a schedule every night. See if that makes a difference... (running it infrequently doesn't do much for me)

Real miui has music player lock screen controls, no needless pseudo buttons on the interface and in general a lot more applications to cater to you.

The torch being one of many examples.
