Miui v5 live icons

Hi there.

With the latest update we received the live icon feature which I personally dont like after all, especially for the notes app

My question is, is there any way I can disactivate this function? My device is a Galaxy S2

Use root explorer and rename icons in /system /media /theme /default / folder to icons.Bak this will disable all live icons

Well, I have to ask again. This method still works, but it is kina annoying to redo it every week and also I'd rather disable just some live icons not all. Is there any other way to handle this?

Nope, because every update that file will be overwritten by rom.
But you can find in Themes Manager some other icons or theme and just apply that theme.

Can anyone tell me why my weather bz live icon isn't updating? Couldn't find any other thread to place this question in.
