MIUI with ADW EX or LP

I have a question I am hoping someone can help me with.

So far Im loving MIUI, but I just cant handle the launcher itself. I was never a fan of the iOS interface. So Im using ADW EX or Launcher Pro.

Everything works great short of one thing, the taskbar. Transparency does not seem to work with either of these launchers. Now as I understand it Launcher Pro will never have a transparent taskbar unless you use a live wallpaper, from what I have seen though ADW will work. The problem is that it seems not to work after updating to 1.3.3, it does work if I set a live wallpaper same as LP.

Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone know of a fix or workaround? I am aware of using a live wallpaper with a static background, but would prefer to stay away for LWs if I can.

On ADW Ex, it should work for statis wallpapers if you disable the wallpaper hack (ADWSettings > General Behavior> System preferences).
