Hello guys/girls,
Just bought a brand new Xiaomi Mi4C and it just arrived. I like the general feel and quality of the phone. It currently says I have MIUI 7 by xiaomi.eu 5.11.12 Beta. It's telling me to update to MIUI 6.1.21 but i've been reading thing about bootlock and such. I suppose this update the phone prompts is to the oficial MIUI and therfore can bootlock my phone. Am I right? Any other recomendations/ starter guide to Xiaomi phone/environment? I've had some experience with installing roms and recoveries so I know my way through tinkering with phones, just the 1st time with a china one so looking for general knowledge
