So symptoms are as follows:
the phone makes a payment device beep, but it usually displays some error like "payment card not accepted" or "try another method".
worked perfectly fine before the update.
I tried removing and adding cards.
reinstalling the google wallet app, also cleaning cach
restoring NFC functionality
did not help. i haven't tried changing the preferred payment method, i only read it now, but i am not always around ATMs or pay terminals so want to be ready next time i happen to be near them, in case that is really the solution for this issue.
