Sometime last year I bought a Xiaomi Redmi and have been very happy with it until the battery broke (not sure what happened to it, as the error message was in Mandarin). It took me a few weeks to get around to buying a new battery, and now I have, but the phone does not connect to wifi anymore.
I mean: whenever I click the wifi icon in settings, it'll light up and then switch off, without ever finding any networks or even giving an error message. I have switched the phone on and off, I have emptied all the caches and erased all the storage.
Unfortunately, I do not know much about phones or technology, so I have reached the limit of what I know to do. I hope you will be able to help me.
PS. all my other devices, including my other phone, are fine with connecting to the wifi.
