I have an Mi5S Plus, with latest xiaomi.eu ROM. It works perfectly.
In the Google Play Store I found the Google Phtoscan app, but it is not possible to install it, because "Your device is not compatible with this version". Why?, I really dont know, the minimum requirement for the app is Android Lollipop.
Then, from apkmirror, I have downloaded and installed the ARM64 version, and it works perfectly well.
Anyone knows the reason why Google Play Store do not permit the installation?
It is not the first app with this kind of problem. Same situation, for example, with Amazon app.

That is the same version I'm running and on xiaomi.eu rom so that solution doesn't work :/

Only thing I could find related to display density is this string.

persist.miui.density_v2=440

Seems like it, but mines the same so I wouldn't mess with it then.

I searched up and found these compatible Density resolutions:
• LDPI - 120
• MDPI - 160
• HDPI - 240
• XHDPI - 320

But I wouldn't change it to any of those if I were you lol.

I guess we'll have to wait it out for an answer, have you cleared data & cache from Google Play Store?

I think it's more down to a combination product name, model name and dpi just like the old s3 / s5 and Android sticks. All my android sticks had Samsung s3 as modell and name, worked 100% no matter dpi since playstore was universal
