ota updates

iam using defy i downloaded ota zip for defy frm website but i dont kow wat to do later i.e how to install it and after installing how to update through it

start phone in recovery mode and choose install ZIP from SD card..navigate to zip and install it.

later phone should prompt for update

hi, i used the ota-updater and it downloaded a file and then when I click update now it reboots into recovery mode but nothing happens. Do I have to apply the downloaded file manually and if so, where do I find it?

edit: never mind, i found it in sdcard/downloaded_rom

strange though that there is no manual to be found about the new updater

Does it include the language pack also??????

yes, mine did. only one file too

Is that English UK or American? as I prefer UK spelling.

I can't give a definitive yes or no, but the OTA version I got for my G2 was American English. I live in the US.

Just checked the built.prop shows language as en and region as US, tried a couple note/writing apps all fail to correct spelling i.e. color - colour etc. Is there a way of correcting this as I thought Miuiandroid was the UK version?
