Question About Update

I bought a Redmi 2 Enhanced phone with 6.1.28 weekly rom installed and it shows no further updates. So, can I just download a ROM from the next thread (6.2.18) in the weekly roms subforum and use the updater app to update, without losing any settings/phone data?

Nvm. it seems to work.

Now, I managed to update it ROM by ROM to first one with android 5.1 (6.3.25). Is it advisable to continue this way or could I simply update it to last one with MIUI 7 (6.5.26) without issues? Question is about using updater app only.

Hello, you should not upgrade ROM to ROM, you can also jump for months and install the most updated
