Question before i start installing

I would like to install MIUI 12 on my Xiaomi Mi 9 lite device from here. But i have one important question.

I do not need root etc... because i want to be able to keep my banking app, etc working. is that possible with the latets MIUI eu rom?

You don't have root if you don't install Magisk. All xiaomi.eu ROMs don't include root.

Then I started my journey... I did run the unlock tool from Xiaomi. But it is stuck @ 50% and wont go further. in another topic i read that he solved it with doing the unlock on another pc. what if i have no other pc to try?
