Redmi 3 Pro Device Locked

Hey guys.

Here is the story ... I received my Redmi 3 Pro device back from the Xiaomi because it was sent there due to faulty camera. When I turned on the device it said This device is locked and there is a little button Activate this device. After that the screen shows that the device may be associated with existing Mi Account, which is my account. When I enter the password and tap on Activate I get an error saying Couldn't verify Mi Account ID. Can't connect to network.

How the hell can I connect to network if I even can't get past this screen.

Does anybody have an idea? I bought the device months ago and couldn't use it even for a day because it took them almost three months to replace the camera.

Any help is appreciated.

Is there SIM card inside? It should ask PIN code before account stuff.

Yes, I tried with SIM card inside. It was the same ...

Well ... I tried with the SIM that was PIN protected. Then I removed the PIN, inserted the SIM one more time and it automatically connected over mobile data and activated the phone.

That was the solution ... if anybody has the same problem.
