Redmi Note 8 Pro and Google Pay via NFC

Hi,
I have enabled NFC and correctly added my credit card to the google pay app.

Unfortunantly I can't pay using NFC, as soon as I put my phone on to pay, it says that it can't pay.

Any help please?

mosts of the thread talks about menu I don't have.
I have not rooted the phone, I don't have the wallet menu.
it's a "fresh phone"
so what's the problem?

My phone is non rooted.
I have deleted the gms folder, I have cleared the gpay app cache, restarted the phone, deleted the card and readded it.
What else should I do?

I don't have a wallet menu where to choose hce.
