No, it isn't impossible. I have a LDPI device (Galaxy 5) and MIUI is horking perfectly for me, only issues is some themes that don't fit. And many more LDPI devices have MIUI, like Galaxy MINI, GIO ...

I will try to port MIUI for LG Optimus L3
