You won't receive a code, just a message that your request has been approved.Question:
When I receive this sms from Xiaomi with the unlock code, what must I do?
Where can I put the code in?
Anyone has tutorial or screenprints?
Thanks
Thanks proagYou won't receive a code, just a message that your request has been approved.
After that you just download Mi Unlock Tool and unlock your mi5.
(Mi unlock tool will be on en.miui.com/unlock after you receive the approval message.

Mhm, I'm not sure why you installed TWRP if you want to install rom via updater app.Hello, I received the message and unlocked my mi5 with the unlocktool. After this I installed TWRP + Boot and tried to install the rom via updater app, but there is no TWRP and my device can not find the package.
What did i do wrong?
What can i do now?
Well, that's what i have to do according to the instructions. Download twrp + boot, so i did. Now i tried the other way with mi flash tool, but i got a error on my pc. I don't understand, i have windows 10, 64 bit.Mhm, I'm not sure why you installed TWRP if you want to install rom via updater app.
Just download twrp + boot.img again, reboot to fastboot mode, type: "fastboot devices" to check if your device is seen by fastboot, then type "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img", then type "fastboot flash boot boot.img" then either hold volume up + power button or type in fastboot "fastboot boot recovery.img", you will be in TWRP, now go to install section and choose zip with ROM.

So, now i want to follow your instructions right, but...
When i reboot to fastboot (volume down + power) i will go to the fastboot (mitu + android image) screen, but i don't know what to do next. How can i type something? Should i do that on my pc? Connect my device with pc? In some program? I only see the fastbootscreen and it stays like that.
I feel stupid, i downloaded what you asked me to to. But i don't see the cmd folder. Which folder do you mean?Do you have fastboot and adb files on your pc?
If not.. download this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bwyga5_DFCaOTGRrUjFXYXdRMTA/view
extract.. open cmd in this folder (shift + mouse rightclick, open cmd window here)
type: "fastboot devices" to see if your device is seen by fastboot, then "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
then "fastboot flash boot boot.img", then hold volume up + power, you will be in TWRP, go to wipe, wipe everything except internal storage, go to install, select rom zip, install, reboot.
Alright, it's okay.I feel stupid, i downloaded what you asked me to to. But i don't see the cmd folder. Which folder do you mean?
(So i have to keep my device in fastboot mode? and connect it to my pc?)
I am sorry, i am not an expert in this. I thought it was as easy as it was desribed, but it seems to be more difficult for me...;-(
Okay, simply from the start:Alright, it's okay.
1. Go to the folder with fastboot and adb, the one you downloaded.
2. In the folder shift + right mouse click, together. Select open cmd here.
3. Reboot your phone to fastboot mode.
4. In the cmd window do what I typed in the previous post.
Yes, i found it....Okay, simply from the start:
I downloaded via de your link: I have COFFACE-TWRP-20160324.zip
When i bouble click this folder i will get: adbandfastbootmi5
When i click shift + right mouse i don't get "open cmd here". Is shift + right mouse not working?
I just need to go in that screen to write the commands, but....i don't get there.
What do i miss?
It doesn't matter. You can name it whatever you want.Yes, i found it....
So now i am going to write the commands.
Do i have to name the rom "update.zip" or can i leave it by it's original name?
"cannot load recovery img"Alright, it's okay.
