well, but did you check if rom encryption is working as "suggested" in the changelog.
This would be a good point as in previous version we were forced to trip fstab to get it working after every rom update.
Hi, is it as tricky as 1227 before or can you recommend it for replacing 1211 in order to flash Miui 10.3 stable that will hopefully soon be released for Sirius. Bear regards, Beffi

ONLY working TWRP version for ('up to now) STABLE rom is 1102/1217.
1227 version is only for WEEKLY DEV from/up to 2008/12/27.
New stable to come will install with 1102, but it is not known if TWRP will need to be upgraded after 10.3 rom . (my guess, it will be..)

Did you check what TWRP version is working on this new release?
What about the latest , just released a few days ago? TWRP 3.3.0- 0423 (april 23)

TWRP 3.3.0- 0423 It's working good with Miui 10.3 stable. Not stuck at MI logo anymore.

you have to move to 1227 or latest version 0423.
I wish it install well after rom boot because it was the main issue when dealing with that in January on weekly DEV.
Try to use fastboot to flash 1217 and then try following my solution.
This is my solution to make it work.
- I used TWRP 3.2.3 1217
- Flash MIUI 10.3 with wipe dalvik&cache
- After flash rom complete don't restart just back to main menu and then flash TWRP 3.3.0 0423
- After flash TWRP 3.3.0 finish then restart to TWRP again. Now we're on TWRP 3.3.0 and then restart system again.
- Done
PS. I didn't do fresh install just upgrade from MIUI 10.2.3

your solution works ONLY if you have twrp 1217 STILL installed. If it is lost and no way to flash it again or 1227 the same.
We know this issue since January with weekly DEV.
How do I upgrade?
Do i just use Fastboot flash recovery and that's it?
Or do I need to follow any special procedure?

You haven't any working recovery installed? ONLY fastboot?
YES: Try to install 1217 or 1102 in fastboot mode. (you can also try 1227, we don't know)
IF no one install and leave unsuccessful msg in fastboot, you have to flash OFFICIAL Xiaomi 10.3 Fastboot rom via miflash and then install 1227 twrp.

Yes, we never know with that "sensible" things. It's like ANDROID always some new surprise....
Mi8SE is the first wierd thing according TWRP of all my android phones before, exspecialy XIAOMI phones.

From what I understood the dev they have reuploaded a new rom version and this one should install dirty mode with 1227 or 0423 (maybe also with pitchblack 1001).
I can't test it myself because my phone is not available and I am dealing with my new K20.
what's your situation? I hope you do not messed the phone too much. In case of doubt better to miflash a fastboot rom in order to reset it.
