Unlocked Bootloader

Hello.
I have tried to update my mi5. I have tried everything, miflash tool, mipc suite, updater....everything. Not working. Obviously im doing something wrong.
Please help me! I got permission to unlock bootloader and done that...everything is still the same as it was, should it?
I have searched threads how to do the update but cant find the method that works.
So, if someone could post direct link in here or give the solution i would appreciate it alot!

First connect with ur mi acct using ur phone number on ur phone. Then use a vpn desktop application only and connect to Internet using usa or china servers. Login to mi unlock tool now with same phone number used to login to ur phone. Whn u fastboot n connect to system now try again.


Here chk this step closely...

Login to i.mi.com and sign in with your Mi Account, it will send verification code to your mobile number, type the code and get verified. Now it will show connected device, check whether your device is online or not.and remove all other devices from site aswell as mobile phone.
Note: Make sure that you login with mobile number instead of mail Id (This step is very very importent).
