Unsupported Compression Method

I'm trying to modify a theme I downloaded and every time I try to open a file using 7zip, and I keep getting unsupported compression method. I've only had this happen to one other theme and I can't figure out why it's doing it. It works on other themes that I've tried it with and that's the way I've always done it. I tried changing the file to a .zip and extracting it but then it says the folder is empty, which I know it's not because I'm using the theme on my phone.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

That usually means the file is corrupt; just download the theme again...
