New WhatsApp camera freezes

Hi,
Mi9 here, latest weekly. Ever since I am with MIUI.EU I detected that whenever I open the camera from a WhatsApp chat (which doesn't open the default camera app) it freezes the image. I am forced to close the app, and repeat the steps. The second time it usually works.

This never happened while using the default camera app, only with the WhatsApp one. I have been on a few different weeklies, and it is recurrent and happened in all of them.

Any idea? I didn't see this reported.
