Whatsapp Group Notification Muted But Still Appear On Notification Bar

Whatsapp group notification muted but still appear on notification bar, does anyone know how to resolve this?

I have same problem on mi5s with eu rom 6.11.10

When you hit the mute button and choose the time period,i n the same dialog window uncheck the box of "show notification" on the bottom
