After installing the new firmware xiaomi.eu_ZEUS_OS2.0.1.0.VLBCNXM_15 for my Xiaomi Mi12 Pro the phone is permanently rebooting. It looks like after flashing the new firmware with fastboot and windows_install_upgrade.bat the phone has downloaded some components of the fimware directly from Xiomi via the internet.
Reflashing the firmware does not help. Can I go back to HyperOS1.0?

Yes, but since it is a downgrade, you are expected to do a clean install.

Maybe a warning would have been nice, that there is a new TWRP version, twrp-3.7.1_12-v9.0_A15-zeus-skkk.img, published for the Xiaomi Mi 12 Pro and HyperOS 2.0 which needs to be istalled first before installing the update as a *.zip file via TWRP.

The developpers don't manage or track the TWRP releases, and don't necessarily own this specific phone. TWRP is not even needed to install the ROM.

Thanks for warning the other 12 pro users.

TWRP is nothing to do with this ROM and isn't even necessary to install it.

Warn yourself. Nobody in the entire universe is going to do a better job as a you that's educated in the knowledge of their own device.
