Hello everyone. I haven't been on the forum for a while. I'd like to ask when a ROM for the Xiaomi 17 Pro (that phone with the funny screen on the other side) will be available. My friend and I have one with an unlocked bootloader, but it has terrible Chinese-English software, and I'd like to have full GPlay, etc.x

No idea. Eventually. It was barely released, and none of us has any of the Xiaomi 17 series devices.
Hey Igor, totally understand that there are no timelines for xiaomi 17 pro bootloader
My question is that since this phone won't likley have a global release, will a Rom still be created for users like myself who are outside of China and want to use this phone? Curious because I'm located in north America and would like to purchase this phone (versus base 17 which will have global release), I'm open to buying and not having google apps / android auto / notifications work as they should until a bootloader is released and I could flash phone
If something will not be released by your team anytime in future then I'll just go for base global model when it release

As far as I remember, you have to be in China, have a Chinese ID, have a high status on Chinese forums (ie be an expert)....
There is obviously no official international documentation on the topic, and most users are not in a situation where they can try it and keep us informed, it is hard to provide you more détails. So yes basically "impossible" for people who want to unlock at home like global models, you have to buy it unlocked or find someone who can unlock it when you are in China.

Is the xiaomi.eu rom for the Xiaomi 17 series, passes the Safetynet?
I can manage to unlock the bootloader of my 17 pro, and before I do, I need to know if the safteynet issue is solved or not. (previously I used 12x and it's kept getting updates of the Xiaomi inject module, and now it's discontinued, right), That's why I ask you this question. If you can reply to this thread, it is more helpful for me.
