Hello Community,

I am based in Europe and considering going Xiaomi.

I am a bit concerned and baffled with the xiaomi.eu firmware.

If I order the phone as it is and do not update to xiaomi.eu firmware what drawbacks/ concerns are there for use in Europe?

Is it a one-off process of installing the firmware that will update itself for years to come?

Is there a best thread to get my head around terms like "flashing", and the benefits of firmwares?

But please ask away for any help.

Once you are in the EU ROM, updates are performed manually by download and install by twrp or OTA updates by using app. You need twrp to be installed but it's more automatic as such.
