Same happening with me, on redmi note 7 pro (violet) , in MX , VLC, MI video player & on youtube vanced also

I have this problem on my brand new Redmi Note 13 Pro (2023) — how do I solve it?

I can change the volume from any video player but I cannot change brightness (only the phon's own slider or button can change brightness). This is not good.

Brightness is one of the most basic things that third party apps should be allowed to do and Xiaomi should not block them from doing it.
