In reply to my own message: I did play around a bit and found that flashing the partitions modem_ab and modemfirmware_ab with the corresponding files from the official 1.0.5 EEA/Global firmware solves my issue of not having mobile data. It can also be reproduced: flashing these files from 1.0.9...

Just went from Xiaomi EU 1.0.8 to 1.0.9 on my global 14U - WiFi is OK, but no mobile data ... So you are not alone ;)... Any ideas for fixes are much appreciated.... Addendum: seems data availability is intermittent, on some occasions its there, then again missing.... Will observe further

Not sure if this is the right thread to discuss, but my understanding was that Xiaomi users still have the option to apply for bootloader unlock with the same process as it used to be (albeit with a different unlock wait time) - or has this changed recently ?

I did a format data in TWRP and flashed the 08.11.-version from TWRP, then "dirty-flashed" 19.11 on top later..... while typing this I'm wondering if the different flashing methods (TWRP vs fastboot) could be the reason for the mixed results we see for 19.11.-version....

I tried to go to this version from 08.11.-version (which I made a clean install for), sadly no joy.... no Wifi/SIM-connection, apps crashing all over the place - I tried all the methods mentioned above, but they did not achieve anything....for now I reverted back to 08.11. version.... If I can...

Currently using first HyperOS weekly (08.11.23) on my 13 Ultra. One thing I noticed is that there usual notification to change the keyboard is missing... Is that only in my install? Any hints on how to solve this? Thanks, cheers, Axel

How did you flash the original ROM ? Care must be taken that you do not relock the bootloader when being on a ROM different from the CN version - if you do you get a brick that only EDL can recover. Some of the tools used for flashing have the bad habit of providing a "relock bootloader" switch...
