I have a MIUI 11 stable installed on my phone and wanted to install the latest beta available for it (MIUI 12). Can I upgrade without needing to format my phone? Like a dirty flash (I believe this is what this is called).

Generally it's not good for the phone to have even minute flames... Ask Samsung!
