I acquired a bricked MI A2 phone which I hoped to resurrect using MI Flash tool and suitable stock firmware. Fastboot is accessible, but can't be used to flash anything because the bootloader is locked. So with phone in EDL mode via test point method, tried flashing various jasmine firmware versions with MI Flash tool, but got errors. Eventually successfully flashed MI 6X (wayne) firmware and now fastboot getvar product shows 'wayne'. Unfortunately the phone still seems to be bricked as the MI logo appears for a few seconds then a white line progresses across the screen with numbers above the line counting from zero to 99.99%, (taking about 100 seconds) then stops.
Can anyone please help and maybe suggest what I should try next.

Since the first post I have flashed various MI 6X stable and developer firmware using QFIL, but still get the same result as described above and shown on attached images.
Is this likely to be a hardware problem?
