Hi everyone,
I'm writing from China. I bought a hongmi in a retailstore in Guangzhou for 1450RMB. But I don't know if it is real. I wonder, because I wanted to root it with a Developer ROM. But the installation process allways fails. And I don't have the MiRecovery. Also, I can't install the Google Play Store, the camera doesn't produce very good pictures and no smooth bokeh. No bokeh at all. And last strange thing is, on the phone was one picture taken by the camera, showing a snapshot from a scene in this or another retail store.
But the specs make it look real. All specs in CPU-Z are the same as in the original phone. The Antutu Benchmark gave the same results as the original. I installed both apps myself. They were not preinstalled.
This is either a very good fake, with a very bad camera and a fake OS or I just can't do what I want with this phone.
Please look at the pictures. Why does the box looks so bad inside? And why is the certificate tag not the same as the ones I saw in other unboxing-threads? Mine is quite small and has a "365" on it. And the print of the red sticker on the box has very thin strokes. The stroke width on the original packages is bigger. The battery is a little bit difficult to get in and out. It doesn't fit snuggly.
When I press Vol Up, Vol Down and Power I get a Chinese menu to check phone specs. Another thread said, this is a reason for unveiling it as a fake phone.
What do you say?
Unfortunately I can't weigh it. That should proof it.
The last picture is a sample picture I took recently. I scaled it to 78% in order to shrink the filesize to 1,9 MB. Bigger files can't be uploaded here. I guarantee that the bad image quality is also visible in the original file. No structue in the details, color noise, bad colors. I wonder how color noise can happen in bright daylight.
