[umi] [MIUI14] Add/change search bar provider

Is there any way to add search bar provider to MIUI launcher? In current version there's only one provider - Google. For example, I want to change it to Fennec provider (Firefox fork).
I accept suggestion that can require root.

MIUI 14.0.4.0, MIUI Launcher 4.93.12

P.S.: I'm currently using widget for Fennec on my desktop and disabled launcher search bar. But I wish to have search bar on the bottom of screen.

Any app that includes an activity with the "android.search.action.GLOBAL_SEARCH" action will be available in the list.

Hm. Thank you. At least I can see the feature works.
I just tried Sesame, Chrome, Brave, DuckDuckGo apps and none of them showed as the provider.

Yup, none of them has the GLOBAL_SEARCH action. It's up to the developers of said apps.

Sorry, I know, a quite old thread...
But - is there any known browser/search provider who has this action? Would like to get away from Google...

However, after trying to use this, I am confused, as it only searches contacts, apps, calendar, etc, but not the internet. How to change this?

It's a local Global Search app, not a Web Search. If you need everything at the same time, you might have to build your own app.
