Hello all
I've update miui today to 3.12.13 and adaway application has been disapeared suddenly. Do you know the reason for it ?

Yes. Your antivirus considers it a virus and removes it. If you freeze your antivirus you are able to reinstall adaway. After that you can enable your antivirus again.

You have to freeze guardprovider.apk to be able to reinstall it. In your app list it will be written in Chinese. The logo is a green android char on a white circle with blue edges.

Good to know! I wanted to install WifiKill, but that stupid app blocked it from installing (it isn't even a virus). How do you freeze an app though. Is there an option for that or do I need a program to do so?

I couldn't install it, but I manually copied the .apk to /data/app, rebooted and it is working now

You can freeze it with titanium backup or with root uninstaller

Deepspace, I don't know if it helps you preventing large files getting deleted. It works for bypassing the virus check when installing for example adaway.
For now I just make sure that I am not accepting everything the app wants me to clean.
The cleaner app ( system cleanup ) can be pretty rude in deleting apps I guess. So I choose them manually.

I looked for the icon too so, thanks for posting the pictures!
I'd not even realised adaway stopped, until I read this post!
