Hey fellows,

is there anyone who can explain how to install the EU Rom from miui.com Rom?
I have the stable 7.2.5.0.

1. Switch from miui.Com STABLE to miui.com DEV

--- http://en.miui.com/thread-203226-1-1.html
2. Enable in the dev rom the developer options
3. Enable DEBUG USB
4. Enable OEM Unlock
5. Unlock oem via cmd line / fastboot [THIS WILL PERFORM A FACTORY RESET, A FULL WIPE]
Please note that when you confirm YES into the table, it will not do naything for about 3 minutes. e Patient and DO NOT DO ANYTHING.
6. Reboot and reboot in recovery

7. Install from recovery the lastes xiaomi.eu multilanguage ROM
8. Before reboot, wipe all again
9. Enjoy

Since 7.2 stable Xiaomi locked the bootloader. You need to unlock it via sending request to Xiaomi. Search en.miui for more info.

If you switch to dev and the follow my guide, you will unlokc bootloader by your self.

And also, miui official unlock tool doesnt' support Mi Pad 2 for now

hi. thanks for your guide but i don't know how download fastboot etc... could you be more clear...i'm a stupid man...

It is not working like that. When iam doing a factory reset how can i get the EU ROM when it is deleted?

1. If you will install TWRP+MTP you will be able to copy ROM downloaded previously to PC directly in recovery.
2. After reset, load pad, connect to PC and copy downloaded ROM, reboot to TWRP, install, then wipe dalvik+cache+data.

Something like that.

Fellas,

Can you help me?

I've tried the guide and now it gives me Bootloader error 03.

I was able to flash with miflash a stable rom and I'm cool for now. But I want to get xiaomi.eu.

Anyone can guide me throw this process? Is this error normal?

Thanks in advance.

Normal error for unofficially unlocked bootloader. No worry. Will disappear after Xiaomi.EU ROM flash.

Could you please guide me through this? I'm not used to flash roms and recoverys through Fastboot

Thanks in advance

We can try. But if you already unlocked bootloader - then you already used fastboot. Or?

So this is my status:
- I have developer rom version
- Root Acess
- Bootloader unlocked

I follow the tutorial in the en,xiaomi.com and spanish forum to flash the TWRP. I follow every step.
And i use fastboot flash recovery C:\....recovery.img and my screen goes black!
I select fastboot reboot in fastboot and the Pad goes to "Bootloader error 03"

I'm able access my developer rom + Miui Recovery...

What I dont understand is why i'm getting "Bootloader error 03" every single time! :D

OK. This is due to "wrongly" unlocked bootloader. Let's say Xiaomi no allowed you unlock. But after Xiaomi.EU ROM flash error 03 will disappear. So all you need now - download xiaomi.EU ROM to your pad, boot into TWRP, flash from it and then wipe dalvik+cache+data. Reboot. No 03 error. Firmware working.

Bro

I don't have TWRP :| I cant flash it .. Thats the big issue :/

Maybe that helps. Put the twrp.img which you wanna Flash in the same Folder.

I get it worked :) I've installed Xiaomi.eu.. but another issue.

Why google play store is giving error?
and i'm not the only one complaining...

OK. Probably error 963. So be ready to re-do all from scratch.
1. Download original China/eng dev ROM.
2. Flash it from fastboot
3. Install TWRP once again.
4. Flash xiaumi.EU ROM from TWRP (no wipes)!
5. Directly after flash, wipe dalvik+cache+data. Nothing more.
6. Reboot.

Job done, Market working!

Thanks bro. Its all working great now! thanks for the support!

I've still error 963.

I tried a reflash from TWRP and AFTER flash I wiped all.

No more error on bootloader, but
- play store still with error 963
- no root
- no super su

Bro !
You got same error as I did.

Follow Papka Instructions:
"OK. Probably error 963. So be ready to re-do all from scratch.
1. Download original China/eng dev ROM. -> AND INSTALL GOOGLE PLAY STORE FROM SCRATCH! MAKE IT WORK BEFORE MOVE ON TO XIAOMI.EU

Can I really install TWRP directly from updater app, from en/cn dev version, using this ?

TWRP_latte.zip (from this page)

I tried to
  • reflash china dev [this restored Mi Recovery]
  • from updater select TWRP_latte.zip
but after reboot it said me Install update.zip failed, signature verification failed.

  • So i rebooted to system
  • moved TWRP_latte.zip to root and renamed update.zip
  • from updater app selected update.zip
  • MIPAD 2 auto rebooted in recovery
Same results: Install update.zip failed, signature verification failed.
