Hi guys,

I would like to ask some question about Google play service.
Is it possible to remove Google play service from our device?
Which is the best solution in order to reduce the link between Google's app and my device? Obviously without damage the operation system and the functionality of my Mi4.

Thank you in advance

Thank you Stefano for your useful link.
But if I would like to reduce the presence of Google, and relative apps, inside my device, what may I do?

Hello polve, uninstall the applications you do not use, then install Greenify so disallow applications to run in the background

Ok, but how can I know which Google's apps can I delete in order to maintain a correct functionality of the system?
How can I uninstall they? Through: settings, installed apps?

Greenify is really an interesting app, but does it has some controversial?

Only Google play store is required for Google functionality. Every other Google app is just a utility to perform different tasks. Whatever you don't use, you can uninstall it.

I have found all these Google app running on my device:
- Google service framework
- play service
- partner setup
- one time init
- keyboard
- contacts sync
- calendar sync
- backup transport
- account manager

So, as have you wrote, Can I find and replace these app with open source alternative without any problems? Of course problems linked with the o.s. I know that if I will uninstall, for instance, calendar sync I cannot sync my Calendar with a google account

Hello,

I don't use Google apps(almost nothing from xiaomi too), i think the best way is installing oficial china roms, all works perfect and don't need nothing from Google(wipe data after install to delete a lot of china apps). Anyway is not my case i took a rom that works perfect for me, with 7zip i opened the zip rom and delete the gapps. Good luck, every phone runs fast without gapps.

Hi,

First of all thank you for your answer.
Which is the difference between China and Eu Miui rom? Why is better the China rom? Can I do the same thing through the Eu version?

Can I ask which rom are you using?

Im using multirom 7.1.4 mod by frost one guy from another forum downloaded from 4pda and translated to spanish and share. But i dont know exactly the difference, but the china roms came without gapps and runs so good, it came with a lot of china apps that you can uninstall or wipe data directly from twrp.

I'm thinking what is the better solution, because I would like to maintain this actual Eu rom and to uninstall the Google's apps that I have wrote before.

I don't know how affect to unistalling in your rom, because i don't know the dependencies in your rom, maybe can crush something like notifications, really i don't know, with the rom i use i have no problems, and with the china rom no problem too, because came without gapps. You can do a backup by twrp recovery and try is what i did. And i havent play store, and i havent any market.

Regards.

If you don't need it, you can uninstall every other app.

If you are root, install Titanium Backup to have better control of installed apps.
(Beware: Titanium Backup is a powerful Tool)
