Hi Guys.

I use my Mi5 since almost 3 years now. Ofcourse i have an Mi Account and i am logged in with this Account on my Mi5. The Mi5 is unlocked.
So far so good.
Today i got my new Mi8 Pro. I also logged in with my Mi Account and tried to unlock the bootloader, but it says i have to wait 720 hours!!!
why? I have a Mi Account since 3 years and the Bootloader of my old Phone is also unlocked. why do i still have to wait?
How can i make the prozess faster?
I thought i Mi Account user is able to unlock one Phone a month without having to wait.

Thanks

Unfortunaltely, only the first half of your sentence is correct. :)
There is no way to bypass the waiting time, no matter for how long you have unlocking permission in your account. I feel your pain, I am in the exactly same position. I personally think this is a really bad decision on the part of Xiaomi. No one wants to wait two to four weeks to unlock the bootloader. At least, they should make a "fast path" for long-term members - the limitation to unlock only one device per month is already enough to keep "evil" resellers from unlocking phones before they sell them. That's allegedly the reason for these unlocking limitations, after all.

Like the members said before, the only option is to "sit it out".
We feel the pain, we all had to wait those hours :-( .
Gives you at least some hours with the MIUI launcher to play with :) Maybe you start like it that much, you won't even bother to unlock anymore.
Might be a strategy as well from our lovely factory. :)

Thanks for the answers guys.
In the mean time i installed all the Google Services on the phone.
It is now almost like i am used to it with the global version except the english language in the settings and in the apps.
So i am using the phone now without now and thats very cool.

Yeah, the global version is not bad, but different languages on your phone is annoying at times.
