Just downloaded MI 8 V10.1.2.0.PEACNFI.

First time flashing, I didn't wipe, only flashed it over 10.0.11.0. Couldn't unlock phone. After booting only saw black screen. I could see the power settings (reboot, shut down, etc.) and open the camera with my camera shortcut (double press power button) but nothing else.

The second time around, I wiped cache, dalvik and data, and on boot, I was able to sign in to my Xiaomi account and set up my phone. After rebooting again however, I am now experiencing the same error as before.

Maybe the error has something to do with the launcher and lock screen apps not working very well together? I am using default lock screen and rootless pixel launcher.

This seems to be a major bug for what is a Stable release!

Thank you for reading.

Sorry, I am writing through a translator. I have the same problem. And I think this is not an isolated case. We will follow the news) In the meantime, I will try to install it on a clean, with full formatting.

Gotcha, please report back when you have done it.

I have heard of at least 4 people including me who have this problem at this point.

I was helped by the formatting of the data section. After reading on the forums, this method has helped many people, try it.

If you add fingerprint and login to google play store, can you unlock the screen normally after rebooting?
No problems, after a reboot, the black screen does not bother. Even after logging in to Google Play and adding a fingerprint.

thank's a lot
It seems like formatting data is the key. (not the key)

Edit (2018/12/07):
The problem is in the full screen, if you use the virtual buttons everything works without problem after restarting

Same issue, formatted data before flashing the rom. After reboot my lockscreen gone missing and I couldn't unlock my phone, how they release an update like?

Also, I tried to format data after the issue, but after booting on system and rebooting the same issue happened.

I install everything clean and after the first reboot the phone stays black, just give me the option by pressing the reset button, turn off ...

ye, when i used the virtual buttons, i could reboot without problems (black screen), but my camera till isn't work :( What's wrong with stable rom

A lot of users already reported the same bugs here, I think it would be better if EU team take down the ROM for now.
