Hello, sorry for take your post Sputnik. I have 2 MI8 at home, with xiaomi.eu. For security reasons I would like to encrypt my phones, but I have several questions.

- Whats the procedure to encrypt the phone?
- When is an xiaomi.eu update available can I update without format Data partition? (I had to format data to clean the encryptation, to install xiaomi.eu. My 2 phones don't update via OTA, i need to downloadw the file and flash via TWRP).

Waiting here for help :)

This is related to TWRP and only to it.
When we will have a TWRP able to support deencryption AND encryption you'll get your questions answered...
Things are going their ways, I see MIX3 seems to get support now.

In the mean time you can modify Fstab file when TWRP support only deencryption that is mostly the case.

Thank you @LOLO9393, so if I understood, when in a future release, the TWRP support deencryptation and encryptation, it's simple and easy, being all the work done in TWRP, right?
