Any way to get rid of Google Lens?

Since the update to Android 9, Google Lens was installed as a system app. I have no use for it, but it cannot be deleted or even deactivated completely. Even if you delete updates, it will always show up in the Play Store updates notification, very annoying.
Is there any way to get completely rid of it? Thanks in advance.

If you have a TWRP installed, I guess, you can delete whatever you want via TWRP file explorer (it has the full root rights) but do it at your own risk.
Delete what you know is allowed!

I'm okay with having the app disabled for the current user using the method suggested by Porske, but thanks for the tip (will keep it in mind for next time)!
