Hello everyone,
I am planning to purchase the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra with xiaomi.eu from tradingshenzhen and I was wondering if my banking apps will be working out of the box with this version.
Specifically apps like Revolut, N26, UBS and Greek banking apps.
I really do hope so, because I have very limited knowledge on rooting/ROMs etc.

Many thanks in advance for your replies.

Hello @pittrich67,
many thanks for your reply.
Apologies, as I have no previous experience with this stuff, but am I to understand, based on your comment, that all apps should be working fine?

So, it comes down to whether the phone will come as rooted or not?
Xiaomi.eu do their best to mask the fact that the bootloader is unlocked, and most apps are working on the ROM.

If you choose to root, then there are some specific steps that you need to do to hide it.

no, no. root is not an option. I never needed it.
so, you think it's safe to go with the xiaomi.eu Rom...

Many thanks!

NO! not all e.g. banking apps are working. some are working out of the box. some are working if you hide them with magisk. some are working if you delete the folder /twrp and some are not working coz of unlocked bootloader.

if you want to be sure install your favourite banking app on an unlocked device and test it before you unlock your device

as example this app is not working with unlocked bootloader, magisk hide, edxposed blacklist or deleted twrp folder

All apps, including the banking apps, work perfectly. Even without root. In addition, after a tip I deleted the TWRP folder.
