Can't logout from Mi account on mi9t

Hi guys.

I bought my phone in another country and registered it using sim card. And now that i left that country months ago i tried putting that sim card into my phone but i guess it's d been deactivated and i have no network,i cant receive a verification sms to deactivate. I see no other option to do it. And i note that it hasn't been stolen. I'm on 12.1.5 and i don't like how it works it worked better on 12.0.5 and I'm thinking about installing another os or switching back to 12.0.5 and rooting it because i want to remove ads,and it has become really slow and buggy, and cannot do it since it's locked.

Should i do the factory reset or what?

And what i can see on this forum I can't even find Mi9t in the list of eligible devices. Can i install the ROM for mi9 or mi9t pro,will i have some issues or it's the same?

Mi 9T is quoted as eligible in the weekly and the stable releases of the ROM, I think you just missed it.

Mi 9T is quoted as eligible in the weekly and the stable releases of the ROM, I think you just missed it.

What's the difference between weekly and stable? And how can i solve my problem? Should I do the factory reset or ?

Weekly is a beta version. I believe factory reset remove the Mi account on the phone, I don't know if there is a better solution for your need.

If it has an active Find Device then resetting to a factory reset will not help.
When it restarts after FR, it will require you to log in to your Mi account.

I just checked it. It's on. And it asks for password when trying to deactivate.. s**t
