Problems after update to MIUI 12.5

After the update to MIUI 12.5.
1. The gestures for alternative launchers stopped working.
2. Gmail can't open attachments from the app. (found that the permission to access files is missing. Only the media permission is available).
3. In Gmail can't insert attachment to an outgoing message. (probably the same reason as above with permission not available).

Hi, I'm experiencing same issue on MI 11 Lite using Miui 12.5.6.0.
The most anoying is Gmail unable to insert attachment to an outgoing message.
I have found that it works if you disable MIUI OPTIMIZATION in developper Options to use usual explorer offering access to Photos,Gallery, Drive , Downloads etc....
You can also install ''Mi File Manager'' (package com.mi.android.globalFileexplorer) because it looks like Gmail is only working with this app to attach files when MIUI OPTIMIZATION is enabled .
Note that MIUI OPTIMIZATION disabling may cause other apps to not work normaly. So may be the second option is less anoying.
I hope it will be fixed soon.

I Found a way to rectify it by accessing permissions for gmail from the permissions settings and not from the apps settings menu. I added the correct permission for gmail from there because when accessing them from the apps menu it looked that the permission for media access was enabled.

didn't work for me. The media access is granted correcterly even in permissions settings
